Backyard Beauties

In the 2nd of my three shooting sessions this week, I snuck up on some flowers in the backyard. I went with a wide aperture to blur out the backgrounds, but I struggled with getting interesting compositions. In the end, I just let the flowers speak for themselves

My favorites are the 2nd on the 2nd row and the 1st on the 3rd row! I really like the reddish brown background.

My favorite far and away is the second one on the top row. Nice head on view and a very interesting bokeh. Is this with your new lens? How is it working for you?

Thanks guys. Andy, these were taken with my new 50mm. It's been a fantastic lens, and it really opened up a world of low-light photography I didn't think was possible! Also, as you can see, it gives some wonderful bokeh.
